COVID Travel FAQ's

Should I travel internationally?

It is safe to travel to Mexico and the Caribbean Islands. Governments in these destinations are doing everything they can to keep their population safe and tourists safe. If you do some simple easy things, you 'really' can travel safely:
Wear a Face Covering/Masks
Travel with hand sanitizer and use frequently
Try to touch as little as possible
Stay away from others
Wipe down your arm rests and drop down table on flights-travel with wipes that kill bacteria

Do I need to get tested before I travel?

This depends on the destination you are thinking of traveling to.
Examples:
Mexico-no need to have a test done before your flight from the USA to Mexico
Punta Cana, Dominican Republic-- no need to have a test done before your flight from the USA to Punta Cana
Most other Caribbean Islands--each island has a different policy, and polices may change. Generally, the answer is yes

Do I need to get tested before returning to the USA?

Yes. Beginning Jan. 26, 2021, our US government, CDC, will require all air passengers arriving into the USA to have a COVID-Antigen test administered, 3 days before boarding your flight.
Your negative test result documentation must be a certain format and presented when checking in for your flight. Resorts and labs in your destination know the 'format' requirements, so you do not need to give this any thought. Most all-inclusive resorts offer the required test FREE.

What happens if I test positive?

Most all-inclusive resorts offer up to a 14 day FREE-quarantine stay. Restrictions may apply by resort. Resorts have set aside rooms to quarantine guests.

If I travel, what steps should I take to help reduce my chance of getting sick or getting someone else sick?
